Hello everyone,
Today I’m sharing a card that I made for my son’s birthday.
The clocks and steampunk stamps from Lavinia were perfect for what I wanted to make.
This is a one-layer card using the masking technique.
The most complicated part of this card is working out the order when stamping out the images.
I’ve numbered the stamping order for you in case you’ld like to have a go.
The stamps that I’ve used are:
Tick
Tock
Clock Set
Heart Large
Vine
Texture 1
Time Flies
The stencil I used is called – Crazy
Elements Inks – you can use any colour that you wish.
I like to begin my work with a large piece of card and then cut it down to where it looks good.
Start by making your masks. It will make your stamping a lot quicker if the prep is done first.
Then stamp them in the order shown above. Of course you can play around and change the order if you like.
Leaving the masks in place, stamp the vine leaves around the outside of the clocks.
Add some stenciling using Elements Ink. Using the same colour of Elements Ink as the stenciling, stamp Texture 1 in random spots (if you feel that it needs a little extra something). I chose a neutral colour, but you can use any colour that you would like to.
To finish off, stamp some words and colour in your images. I just use pencils.
Thank you for checking out my card. I hope that you give it a go.
